Despite a major earthquake just a week beforehand hampering planning, the Trash to Flash Modern Jive party was held on September 11, 2010. Although a great deal of improvisation was required due to sound gear, laptop, tickets and more being stuck in an inaccessible building, the venue was still intact and we were able to go ahead! There were some great outfits, especially considering the circumstances, and it was a welcome break from earthquake related stress.
